Submission of Outline Planning Permission in Hastings

KLW is pleased to have submitted an outline planning application for 78 residential dwellings and apartments at the Former Broomgove Power Station in the Ore Valley area of Hastings.

The submission marks continued progress in our long term involvement in the regeneration of the wider area, following on from approval of 101 residential dwelling units on the neighbouring site, which has subsequently been built out by our client, Gemselect Ltd, along with a further site that is currently under construction at the Former Mount Pleasant Hospital site, on Frederick Road.

Working with HMY Architects, the application has been submitted following engagement with local stakeholders as well as a pre-application advice process, and will provide a broad mix of housing, making best use of a long vacant site in a highly sustainable location near Ore Station.  As well as the proposed housing, the proposals will provide play / open space and will include provision of a cycle way through the site improving connectivity with the valley.  We look forward to working with Hastings Borough Council to progress the application in the coming months.
