Masterplan Exhibitions live at Bewl Water.

We are pleased to announce that the Bewl Water Masterplan Exhibitions started on the 6th May with a special VIP meeting, which was extremely well attended.

Thank you to all of those who took the time to attend and for the many constructive comments and suggestions made on the masterplan vision for the future of Bewl Water. Bewl is Southeast England’s largest reservoir and is a regionally important destination for leisure, recreation, and conservation.

The plans and proposals focus on enhancing facilities, improving sustainability, and enriching visitor experiences while preserving the landscape and protecting its wildlife. They include a wide range of proposals to upgrade amenities and include the development of new outdoor activities, the provision of a variety of on-site accommodation, ranging from camping to bespoke holiday apartments, the development of the existing visitor centre and water facilities buildings to significantly improve / modernise the offer to the local community, visitors and the sailing, rowing, fishing, windsurfing and water user communities. The entire strategy is underpinned by conservation initiatives and landscape and ecological management plans.

The exhibition continues through May – we would be happy to hear your thoughts— help us shape the future of Bewl Water!
