Public Exhibition in Margate
KLW have recently supported Square Bay in delivering a successful public exhibition event for a proposed development at Victoria Road, in the centre of Margate.
As part of our ongoing planning / design consultancy services, we developed a set of exhibition boards and a web site to support the event. These boards clearly communicate the vision for the site, the emerging proposals, and the key planning, design, and community considerations. The exhibition provided residents and stakeholders with an opportunity to learn more about the plans, ask questions, and importantly to offer/provide feedback.
The Victoria Road site represents an important opportunity to bring forward new development in a sustainable and well-connected part of the town. The public exhibition formed a valuable part of the pre-application engagement process, helping to inform and shape the proposals ahead of our making a formal application to Thanet District Council for planning permission.
The website presented the boards and wider project and included a consultation survey: referenced through a QR Code. The feedback gathered from the site will inform the next iteration of the masterplan before the application is submitted. The website can be viewed at:

Whilst the in-person event is over, the online consultation site and survey remain live until the 20th of July 2025. We welcome your views and would be grateful to receive your feedback.
