KLW submit full planning application on behalf of Verdant Regeneration for Fassa Bortolo
KLW are very pleased to have submitted a full planning application on behalf of Verdant Regeneration for a render products manufacturing plant at New Stanton Park in Derbyshire.
New Stanton Park is an extensive, brownfield site which was formerly the Stanton Ironworks site. The site now has the benefit of outline planning permission for 261,471 sqm industrial and warehousing development (Use Classes B2, B8 and Eg(iii)). The applicants, Verdant Regeneration, acquired the site in 2019.
This recent planning application to Erewash Borough Council seeks planning permission for a render products manufacturing plant (Use class B2), including materials and product storage facilities, ancillary mechanical workshop, product research laboratory, offices and conference/training facility, product sales facility, weighbridge, substation, vehicular access, landscaping, parking and associated infrastructure and external works.
The application has been submitted by Verdant Regeneration on behalf of Fassa Bortolo, an Italian company which produces high quality render products from natural materials. The plant will use limestone from a quarry near Matlock to create a range of render products through gravity led processes. The application has been made in full because the mixing tower is 60m high, which exceeds the height parameters attached to the original outline permission.
The Council is currently consulting on the application, which is due to be determined by the end of January 2026.
