Public Consultation Exhibition Held for Stanhope Road, Ashford
On Wednesday 23 September 2026, KLW Planning was pleased to welcome local residents, stakeholders and members of the community to our public consultation exhibition for the emerging proposals at Stanhope Road, Ashford.
Held at the Courtside Sports Hall, the exhibition provided an opportunity for visitors to view the emerging proposals, speak directly with members of the project team, ask questions and share their views on the plans.
The proposals relate to the former Linden Grove Primary School site and seek to deliver 164 new homes alongside a 66-bed care home, together with new green infrastructure, a multi-use games area (MUGA), and improvements to pedestrian and cycle connections.
The proposed care home would provide specialist accommodation and support for older people, alongside employment opportunities within the local area. The wider proposals have been developed to make effective use of the previously developed site while providing new homes, community and recreational facilities, and opportunities for landscape and ecological enhancement.
We were pleased to meet with a number of local residents and members of the community throughout the evening and to have a range of constructive conversations about the proposals. We would like to thank everyone who attended, took the time to speak with the project team and provided feedback. The comments received will help inform the continued refinement of the proposals as the design process progresses.

The consultation remains open until Friday 25th September 2026, and we encourage anyone with an interest in the proposals to review the information and complete the online feedback form.
