Land at Hambro Hill, Rayleigh allocated for up to 175 new homes
KLW Planning is pleased to announce that Land at Hambro Hill, Rayleigh has been identified for residential development of up to 175 homes in the emerging Rochford District Local Plan.
KLW Planning has been working with Hollybrook Homes to promote the site through the Council’s Local Plan process. The site is sustainably located alongside existing development on Hambro Hill and Hockley Road, with good access to local shops, schools, services, employment opportunities and public transport.
Following the submission of the site through Rochford District Council’s Call for Sites process and continued engagement through the Regulation 18 stage, the Council has now published its papers for the Planning Policy Committee meeting on 16 September 2026.
Importantly, Policy R02 of the draft Regulation 19 Plan proposes the allocation of the site for residential development of up to 175 homes.
The proposed allocation represents an important milestone for Hollybrook Homes and provides an opportunity to deliver much-needed new housing in a sustainable and well-connected location.
KLW Planning will continue to work closely with our client and Rochford District Council to demonstrate the site's suitability and deliverability through the Local Plan Examination, with the aim of seeing these new homes brought forward in due course.
