Senior Planner and Associate Planner

As a valued member of our team, you will typically be involved in a diverse range of planning and related projects, including the following: 

- preparation of planning applications and appeals,

- project management, 

- undertaking site appraisals and development strategies,

- the promotion of land for development, public consultations and exhibitions. 

Successful applicants will manage their own projects as well as working jointly with colleagues and be encouraged to develop new and existing client relationships.

We are looking for commercially aware planners at Senior Planner and Associate level with a range of experience to play a central role in the team. In time there would be scope for career progression to Associate, Associate Director or Director level in a friendly office environment. We offer a competitive salary and excellent benefits package to reflect your experience and qualifications.

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Professional planning experience (at least 2 years for Senior Planner; 5 years for Associate) ideally with some private sector experience
  • Positive attitude and self-motivated, focused on reaching solutions alongside planning knowledge
  • Membership of the RTPI (Associate) or working towards it (Senior Planner).
  • Full UK driving licence (both positions)

In return we will offer: 

  • Salary (In range of approximately £32,000 – 52,000 plus bonus and allowances depending on which position appointed to, and extent and range of experience)
  • Twice yearly bonus (performance related)
  • Relocation package (depending on applicant’s current location)
  • MRTPI subscription paid
  • Generous annual leave allowance plus additional days at Christmas
  • Regular team social events
