KLW successfully negotiated a new planning permission to deliver 175 new homes on Green Belt land at Hawkwell in Rochford District. The scheme, for Barratts Eastern Counties, followed a period of extensive site promotion through the Core Strategy, including a successful planning appeal. As lead consultant we worked closely with other consultants to present a scheme of high landscape quality. The proposals were successfully argued on the basis of a lack of a local 5 year housing land supply and meeting the tests of very special circumstances.
Planning conditions and legal agreements discharged and housing is currently being delivered.
