Groombridge Farm Shop

KLW successfully obtained planning permission for extensions and associated works to the existing farm shop.  The permission also secured a variation of an existing condition to enable more flexibility to where produce can be sourced from, which in turn will expand the range of produce sold.  The application was negotiated despite Officer concerns over Green Belt policy constraints and approved conditions ensured the majority of produce for sale was still grown at the farm.  A contemporary design was achieved which was appropriate given the location and context of the site and was felt to help assimilate the development with the rural landscape.  The planning permission will ensure the longevity of the farm business is protected, which in turn protects the Green Belt, through the provision of an ongoing compatible agricultural use of land.  The planning permission will no doubt be well received locally after much support over the proposals from customers and suppliers alike.
