Environmental Impact Assessment

  Environmental Impact Assessment
Environmental considerations now underpin the planning process in the UK, whether it is the environmental assessment of development plans or, as is often the case, environmental assessment of development projects. The ability to demonstrate that schemes have an acceptable impact upon the environment through Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is a key component of some of the larger development schemes that KLW deals with and is a precursor to achieving a planning permission. At Kember Loudon Williams we are experienced at carrying out screening and scoping exercises with local authorities and in producing Environmental Statements.   Our main expertise lies in the role of project manager for the large multi-disciplinary teams that are required in putting together an EIA. Within that scope we produce some of the key EIA Chapters including social and economic effects, agricultural impact, Health Impact Assessment and sustainability appraisal. We have the ability to draw together all the various technical aspects of an EIA and present it in an understandable yet professional manner.
